SAN LUIS OBISPO – As part of the program's continued annual support of the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County, players and staff from the Cal Poly men's basketball team will be at the San Luis Obispo California Fresh Market (771 Foothill Blvd) on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 7-83:0 p.m. to accept food donations.
With the donation of one canned or dried food item, fans will receive a general admission ticket voucher for Cal Poly's Saturday, Dec. 8 game versus Bethune-Cookman. Tip time inside Mott Athletics Center is 7 p.m. Fans can also bring a food item to the game that evening and receive free admission.
All canned goods will be donated to the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County, which works to alleviate hunger in the county and build a healthier community. The Food Bank Coalition serves more than 44,000 county residents each year.
Following Saturday's matchup versus Bethune-Cookman, Cal Poly visits California on Saturday, Dec. 15 and CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday, Dec. 18.
