The Mustangs welcome seven newcomers to this year's team, including three who joined the team at the start of the winter quarter in freshmen Roman Shenkiryk and Gabriel Gilbert and junior transfer Dominic Bechard.

Bechard joins the Mustangs this season after spending his first two years at the University of Tulsa. There he compiled an overall record of 17-31 in singles and 16-18 in doubles play. Including those two freshmen, this year's team features six freshmen that will be looked upon to contribute.

Last year's squad finished 18-8 overall and made it all the way to the Big West Conference Tournament Championship.

The first home match of the season is on Feb. 3 when the Mustangs host San Diego State beginning at noon at Mustang Tennis Complex.
