SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly senior Taylor Guy recorded the best aggregate score among all Mustangs on Friday afternoon during the season-opening Queen of the Pool pentathlon exhibition hosted with Cal on Friday afternoon at the Anderson Aquatic Center.

Guy's combined time of 5:04.68 over the five events equated to a 13th-place finish overall. She placed 10th overall in the 100 fly (57.71) and 13th in the 100 IM (1:00.79). Guy bested her five-category time from a year ago by 4.27.

Cal Poly senior Allison de Peralta – who earned the Queen title last season – finished 16th overall with a five-category total of 5:06.01. De Peralta recorded the 12th-fastest 100 IM time (1:00.74), which was the best among all Mustangs.

Mustang junior Dani Orlandi placed 12th in the 100 fly with a time of 58.59, which beat her previous best during the same event last season by nearly a full second (59.44).
