April 28, 2012 | Track & Field Kyle Inks Clears 17-feet, 8.5-inches in Dual Meet with UC Santa Barbara Senior Kyle Inks set a new personal-best in winning the pole vault in the dual meet with UC Santa Barbara on Saturday at the Cal Poly Track. UCSB defeated Cal Poly in both the men’s and women’s competition. UCSB prevailed on the men’s side, 104-96 and defeated the Cal Poly women’s team, 116-86.
April 20, 2012 | Track & Field Sisler Wins High Jump at Mt. SAC Senior Whitney Sisler won the women’s university/open high jump in the second day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays while freshman Hannah Edward posted a season-best in the 800 meters.
April 19, 2012 | Track & Field Mustangs Run to Season-Best at Mt. SAC Cal Poly men’s track and field competitors posted career-bests at the Mt. SAC Relays today in the first day of competition at the elite event on Thursday.
April 14, 2012 | Track & Field Solid Marks Posted at Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee UCLA Invitational A select group of Mustangs competed at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee UCLA Invitational on Saturday against an international field. Sophomore Jamison Jordan posted a competitive time in the 100 and had a solid mark in his first appearance of the season in the 200. Senior Eric Supenant won the 400 meter hurdles with teammate David Mamnath posting a personal-best.
April 7, 2012 | Track & Field Kyle Inks Clears 17- feet, 6.5-inches for PR at Stanford Invite Senior Kyle Inks cleared a personal-best in placing third in the pole vault while fellow Daniel Erdman had a mark over 55-feet in the shot put in the second day of competition at the Stanford Invitational.
April 6, 2012 | Track & Field Mustangs Post Solid Marks in First Day of Stanford Invitational Highlighted by both the men’s and women’s distance runners, Cal Poly student-athletes posted solid marks in the first day of competition at the Stanford Invitational on Friday.
April 3, 2012 | Track & Field Results from Sam Adams Multi-Event International The Cal Poly multi-event squad competed against a national field at the Sam Adams International and gained some valuable experience. On the men’s side, freshman Devin Bennett placed 13th in the 18 person field with San Luis Obispo’s Chris Randolph, competing for Skechers won the two day event with 7840 points.
March 31, 2012 | Track & Field Fresno State Invite Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather Saturday's track and field meet, Fresno State Invitational, at Buchanan High School was canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
March 24, 2012 | Track & Field Mustangs Compete at the ShareSLO.com-Cal Poly Invitational Cal Poly hosted the ShareSLO.com-Cal Poly Invitational with appearances of an Olympic Gold medalist and a national champion at the Cal Poly track on Saturday, and didn’t the competition did not disappoint.
March 10, 2012 | Track & Field Cal Poly Track and Field Tops Fresno State Cal Poly Men and Women both won the Cal Poly- Fresno State Dual Saturday. Cal Poly men scored a total of 99 points to Fresno State’s 87. On the women’s side, Cal Poly had a total of 97 points to Fresno State’s 88 total points.
February 12, 2012 | Track & Field Women Shine in Triple Jump and Pole Vault at UW Open The Cal Poly women indoor track and field team posted some solid marks at the UW Open held at the Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, WA. Highlighting Sunday’s competition was sophomore Siera Hearne with a first place tie in the pole vault while Turquoise Williams and Shereese Cutler went two-three in the triple jump.
February 10, 2012 | Track & Field Women’s Indoor Tack and Field Compete at Husky Classic The Cal Poly indoor track and field team competed Saturday at the 2012 Husky Classic held at the Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, WA. Turquoise Williams and Shereese Cutler highlighted the day in the 60 meter hurdles and the long jump.
January 28, 2012 | Track & Field Turquoise Williams Places Third at UW Invitational Senior Turquoise Williams placed third in the triple jump while freshman Hannah McDaniel and senior Whitney Sisler tied for seventh in the high jump at the University of Washington Invitational held at the Dempsey Indoor in Seattle on Saturday.
January 20, 2012 | Track & Field Mustangs Shine at Run for the Dream The Cal Poly Mustangs opened the indoor season with some outstanding marks at the indoor opener when they competed at the Run for the Dream meet in Fresno on Saturday.

August 28, 2011 | Track & Field Brown-Trafton Finishes 5th at World Championships Former Cal Poly standout and Olympic Champion, Stephanie Brown-Trafton, finished fifth at the IAAF World Championships in the discus.
August 11, 2011 | Track & Field Women's Track and Field Team Garners All-Academic Accolades USTFCCCA announced today the women’s 2011 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams. A total of 164 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. The Cal Poly women’s team received the award with a 3.17 team GPA.
August 5, 2011 | Track & Field Track & Field/Cross Country Adds to Roster 31 individuals that include incoming freshmen a junior college transfer, have enrolled at Cal Poly with the intent of competing in cross country and track at Cal Poly it was announced by head coach Mark Conover and the athletic department.
June 26, 2011 | Track & Field Day Wins Heptathlon, Vessey Second in 800 Former Cal Poly standout and Olympian Sharon Day won the heptathlon at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Eugene, OR on Sunday while former teammate Maggie Vessey placed second in the 800 meter finals.
June 25, 2011 | Track & Field Jordan Edged Out of Finals in the 200 Cal Poly freshman Jamison Jordan just missed advancing in to the finals of the 200 meters in the USATR Junior Championships today at Hayward Field in Eugene, Or while former Cal Poly standout Ben Bruce placed fifth in the finals of the steeplechase and Sharon Day is second after the first day of competition in the heptathlon.
June 24, 2011 | Track & Field Jamison Jordan Finishes 7th at USATF Junior Championships Jamison Jordan finished seventh in the finals of the USATF Junior Championships in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.47. Jordan, competing in his freshman year at Cal Poly, finished second in the Big West Conference Track and Field Championships this year.
June 23, 2011 | Track & Field Brown-Trafton Wins Discus at USAFT Championships Former Cal Poly standout and Olympic Champion Stephanie Brown-Trafton won the discus while two other former Mustangs advanced out of the first round of the USA Track and Field Championships on Thursday.
June 10, 2011 | Track & Field Pickett Finishes Seventh, Earns All-America Honors Senior Jasmine Pickett finished seventh at the NCAA Track and Field Championships on Friday at Drake Stadium in De Moines in the triple jump. The lone Mustang to qualify for the championships recorded a career-best of 43-feet, 6.50 inches to earn the honor.
May 28, 2011 | Track & Field Jumpoff Derails Sisler Whitney Sisler, Cal Poly’s lone competitor at last season’s NCAA finals, will not advance this year when she lost in a jump off for the final spot. Cal Poly’s four other competitors and the relay team did not advance to the NCAA finals in the final day of competition in Eugene.
May 27, 2011 | Track & Field Pickett Advances to NCAA Finals in Triple Jump Senior Jasmine Pickett has advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second time in her Cal Poly career in the triple jump when she finished 12th in the first round of the NCAA’s in Eugene on Friday.
May 26, 2011 | Track & Field Mustangs Compete in First Day of NCAA's Eight Mustangs competed in the first day of competition in the first round of the NCAA Track and Field Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, OR on Thursday.
May 14, 2011 | Track & Field Men Finish 3rd, Women 6th at Big West Championships Cal Poly junior Brandon Shirck won the 5000 in a time of 14:42 while freshman teammate Chris Frias placed third with a time of 14:43.41 in leading the men’s team to a third place finish at the Big West Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Irvine, Calif. Vanessa Hancock won the 1500 in a time of 4:27.73 while teammate Rebecca Paddack was fifth (4:31.44) followed by Cortney Kostrikin in sixth (4:31.91) in pacing the women’s team to a sixth place finish at the championships.
May 13, 2011 | Track & Field Men 4th, Women 5th after Day 1 at BWC Championships The Cal Poly men’s track and field team stands in fourth place while the women are in fifth after the first day of competition at the Big West Conference Track and Field Championships in Irvine, Calif.
May 7, 2011 | Track & Field Senior Corbin Duer set a Cal Poly record when he scored 7,350 points in finishing second at the Big West Conference Multi Event Championship on Saturday in Irvine. Sophomore teammate Dominic Byrne finished fourth with 7,182 points while the two combined to score 13 points for the team toward the Big West Track and Field Championship. May 6, 2011 | Track & Field Duer, Byrne; Second and Third after Day One of BWC Multi Corbin Duer and Dominic Byrne are second and third after day of the Big West Conference multi events on Friday. The two have completed five of the 10 events in the decathlon. On the women’s side, Turquoise Williams and Emily Kressin are in sixth and seventh at the midway point of the heptathlon.
April 30, 2011 | Track & Field 17 PR's set at UCSB Dual Meet The Cal Poly men’s and women’s track and field teams set 17 personal-best marks in the UC Santa Barbara dual meet on Saturday at the Westmont track. UCSB won the men’s dual meet 104 to 102 while the women’s UCSB team won 110 to 78.
April 23, 2011 | Track & Field Mustangs Set Seven PR's at Triton Invite The Cal Poly track and field team set seven personal-best at the Triton Invitational on Saturday hosted by the UC San Diego. Korben Boaz finished second in the discus with a mark and personal-best of 175 feet even. Boas improve on his previous best of 163 feet, 6.75 inches set at Cal Poly Invitational on April 2.
April 16, 2011 | Track & Field Sisler Competes at Mt. SAC Whitney Sisler finished tied for seventh at the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday. Sisler was the lone Mustang competing on the final day of the event.
April 15, 2011 | Track & Field Mustangs Post Solid Marks at Mt. SAC Relays In Friday’s action at the Mt. SAC Relays, Cal Poly student-athletes posted solid marks that included a fifth place finish in the 100 by Jamison Jordan, a seventh place finish by Eric Suprenant in the 400 meter hurdles and a fifth place by Jasmin Pickett in the triple jump. In late action on Thursday night Ryan Cosens posted a time in the 10000 that placed him in the top-25 in the nation.
April 14, 2011 | Track & Field Fogg Sets New Steeplechase Record LeAnne Fogg set a new Cal Poly record in the 3000 meter steeplechase while Micheal Johnson posted a Big West Conference qualifying time in the steeple chase on Thursday at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
April 2, 2011 | Track & Field Mustangs Post BWC Qualifying Marks at Invite A total of 36 Cal Poly track and field student-athletes posted Big West Conference qualifying marks on Saturday at the 2011 Cal Poly Invitational. Ashton Eaton, one of the leading decathletes in the nation, recorded personal best marks in three of the four events competed while former Cal Poly standouts Sharron Day and Phillip Reid won events.
March 26, 2011 | Track & Field Stanford Day 2; Williams Records Career-Best Cal Poly’s Turquoise Williams won the collegiate triple jump with a career-best while John Prader placed third in the pole vault in the second and final day of competition at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday.
March 25, 2011 | Track & Field Mustangs Post Solid Times in First Day of Stanford Invite The Cal Poly men’s and women’s track and field teams posted solid times and marks in the first day of competition at the Sanford Invitational on Friday. Daniel Gonia, finishing fifth in the 5000 meters, posted a 2011 top-15 time in the nation. Gonia running in an elite field was clocked at 14:09.30 while Stanford’s John Sullivan won the race in a time of 14:03.58. Chris Frias, running in a different section posted a time of 14:24.53.
March 12, 2011 | Track & Field Cal Poly Splits at Fresno State The Cal Poly track and field teams competed at Fresno State on Saturday with mixed results. The men’s team defeated the Bulldogs 104-90 while the women’s team lost a close one, 100-97. The men’s team was highlighted by Ian Rice’s mark in winning the javelin. Rice posted the school’s sixth best all-time mark with a throw of 204 feet, 5 inches, a new personal best.
March 5, 2011 | Track & Field Cal Poly Posts Solid Marks at Cal Opener The Cal Poly men’s and women’s track and field teams opened the 2011 outdoor season with a solid showing at the Cal Opener on Saturday in Berkeley. On the men’s side Jamison Jordan won the 100 meter dash in a time of 10.67 while Antwaine Miller posted a time of 21.96 and a third place finish in the 200.
