Van Winden Highlights Cal Poly's Four All-Big West First Team Selections November 30, 2015 Less than a week after its most successful conference finish and most victories in a season since 2010, the Cal Poly volleyball program landed four individuals on the All-Big West Conference First Team that was announced on Monday. The quartet representing the Mustangs on the first team included junior middle blocker Taylor Gruenewald, sophomore setter Taylor Nelson, sophomore outside hitter Raeann Greisen and freshman outside hitter Adlee Van Winden (who also earned All-Freshman Team status). Cal Poly’s Cootes Breaks School Record at A3 Championships on Saturday November 22, 2015 On the third and final day of the A3 Performance Invitational hosted by UC San Diego on Saturday, sophomore Zach Cootes broke the school record in the Championship Final of the men's 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 1:48.01 – a full 27 tenths-of-a-second faster than Justin deDianous in 2015 – to provide Cal Poly with a crucial 25 points in the overall competition. Cootes narrowly missed the "B Standard" NCAA qualifications in the event by a mere two-tenths-of-a-second.
