SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly softball program faces four different opponents – including 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifier Fordham – at the Feb. 14-16 Fresno State Kickoff Classic. Cal Poly (2-2) begins its portion of the tournament at Margie Wright Diamond on Friday, Feb. 14 versus Saint Mary's (1-4) at 11:30 a.m. and the host Bulldogs (3-2) at 5 p.m. Fresno State received four votes in the Feb. 11 edition of the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll to finish 60 points behind No. 25 Notre Carolina. Cal Poly continues tournament action on Saturday, Feb. 15 with a 9 a.m. doubleheader against Saint Mary's and Fordham (1-4). Cal Poly completes Fresno State Kickoff Classic play on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 11:30 a.m. against California (3-2).

CAL POLY VERSUS STACY WINSBERG TOURNAMENT OPPONENTS: Cal Poly has won eight straight matchups versus Saint Mary's dating to 2003 and leads the Division I series, 28-3 … the Mustangs look to snap a four-game slide against Fresno State dating to a 2-0 Cal Poly victory at the Bulldog Classic on Feb. 26, 2017. Fresno State leads the Division I series, 23-7 … Cal Poly has faced Fordham just twice prior, winning an 8-0 decision (Feb. 17, 2001) and topping the Rams, 10-4 (Feb. 20, 2014) … California leads the Division I series against Cal Poly, 17-5, after winning the last matchup, 9-1 (Feb. 18, 2018). Cal Poly's last victory against the Golden Bears was a 5-0 home decision (April 21, 2016).

JEFFRIES LEADS CAL POLY ON OPENING WEEKEND: Senior designated player Shelby Jeffries entered her final season with just 15 career RBI before producing eight during Cal Poly's four games at the season-opening Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament at UCLA. Batting .385 (5-for-13) and already second among Big West players with her eight RBI, Jeffries produced four RBI and homered during Cal Poly's season-opening, 9-8 win versus Pittsburgh (Feb. 7). She added three further RBI during an 11-3 win against CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 8).

MUSTANGS FACE NATION'S FINEST ONCE MORE IN 2020: In what has become a hallmark of 16th-year head coach Jenny Condon's tenure, Cal Poly will again contest one of the more competitive schedules in Division I during the 2020 season. In total, Cal Poly plays 15 games against program's that reached last year's NCAA Tournament.
