Cal Poly Finishes Eighth at the PAC-12 Championship

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The PAC-12 Championships wrapped up at East Los Angeles College as the Cal Poly men finished in eighth place with 120 total points.  Stanford claimed its 31ststraight Conference title.

On the final day of competition, the best individual swim of the day came from sophomore Konrad Antoniuk (pictured at right), who placed 13th in the 1650 yard freestyle.  His finish time of 15:36.01 allowed him to add four points to the team total.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Cal Poly finished in eighth place.  The team of junior Omar Dwidar, freshman Mackey Hopen, freshman Christian Renfro and sophomore Drew Casier finished at 3:04.55.

The Championships continue through March 3, 2012.  The NCAA Swimming Championships will be March 15-17, 2012 in Auburn, AL.
