SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Katrina Anderson (pictured at right) and Grace Greenwood were double-event winners and led the Cal Poly women's swimming and diving team to victory on the second and final day of competition Saturday in the Cal Poly Shootout at the Anderson Aquatic Center.
Anderson claimed victories in both the 200 IM (2:08.59) and 200 backstroke (2:06.52) while Greenwood dominated the diving events with victories off the one-meter (248.20) and three-meter (246.60) boards.
Other Mustang winners were Nicole Antoniuk in the 200 freestyle (1:55.92), Kelsey Engel in the 100 freestyle (54.36), Rachel O'Brien in the 200 butterfly (2:06.45), Rachel Cleak in the 50 freestyle (22.77), Alisha Bender in the 500 yard freestyle (5:09.48) and Angie Haven in the 200 breaststroke (2:22.50).
Cal Poly also took both relay events.
Allison de Peralta, Haven, O'Brien and Cleak teamed to win the 400 medley relay in 3:56.93 while Engel, Anderson, Danielle Wong, and Bender combined for the victory in the 400 freestyle relay (3:38.25).
Cal Poly scored 786 points to win the meet for the second straight day. Pepperdine was second with 414 points, followed by Concordia University of Irvine (351) and Azusa Pacific (345).
Cal Poly also won the men's meet, scoring 296 points. Concordia was second with 155. Three Mustangs, Aaron McKinnon, Mickey Mackle and Ian Sinclair, won two events a piece. Sinclair claimed the victory in the 200 yard freestyle (1:44.97) and in the 500 yard freestyle (4:41.52). Mackle won the 200 yard IM (1:54.72) and the 200 yard breaststroke (2:07.01). McKinnon placed first in the 50 yard freestyle (21.52) and the 100 yard freestyle (47.32).
Cal Poly also won the 400 medley relay as Jeff Allison, Jimmy Deiparine, Mackle and Mackey Hopen teamed for a 3:29.22 clocking while Omar Dwidar, Sinclair, Brynnel and McKinnon finished first (3:12.10) in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
